ALERT: Phishing Email from "eNFACT"
(Updated January 26, 2012)
Attention all AFCB customers: Athens Federal has been made aware of a phishing attempt being sent to our customers via email from eNFACT. The email indicates that attempts were made to conduct debit card transactions in Italy and directs the customer to a non-secure website or telephone number to complete a case resolution. THIS IS A SCAM.
eNFACT is a debit card fraud prevention service and does not communicate directly with bank customers. Please remember that Athens Federal will never ask you to verify account or debit card information in this manner. If you have completed a “case resolution” per the fraudulent email, please contact an AFCB customer service representative immediately by calling 423-745-1111 to cancel your current debit card and secure a new card.
