Important reminders when switching your checking and/or savings account(s) to Athens Federal
- Stop writing checks from the account that you are closing and allow all the checks to clear the account
(this process typically takes 10-14 business days).
- When you are confident all checks and other transactions have cleared, request a check for the remaining balance or use Form #1 to transfer any remaining funds to your new Athens Federal account(s).
